Ben joined ORS in the fall of 2022 and brings with him a systems-focused social work and nonprofit background. He is a recent graduate of the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, where he specialized in organizational leadership and policy practice. His graduate work focused on affordable housing policy advocacy, the decriminalization homelessness and poverty, and legal punishment reform.

Ben brings a diversity of experience to his client teams: he has served as a legislative aide for a Colorado state senator, as a case manager and client advocate at a clinic for people living with HIV, and had a prior career in theatre where he honed his project management, communications, and leadership skills while performing throughout North America, on Broadway, and internationally. He currently runs the Denver chapter of a nonprofit that mobilizes queer+ and ally volunteers. Since joining ORS, Ben has engaged clients in work around conservation and livelihoods, community development and quality of life frameworks, and is embarking on new projects to include after action reviews and participatory theory of change development. He is deeply empathetic, is passionate about accessible/equitable communications for public impact, and believes human-centered data storytelling has the power to change people and systems at scale.
