Jennifer Beyers , PhD

Senior Research Consultant

Jenn takes deep satisfaction in applying her well-honed skills in design and analysis to support clients’ social impact work. She tends towards leadership roles in evaluation projects—working closely with clients to identify indicators of progress and measure them creatively—and prides herself in making results accessible to various audiences. A natural systems thinker, Jenn tries to surface findings that will best help clients understand facilitators and barriers to social change at multiple levels of influence.

Jenn came to ORS Impact in 2005, after working at Casey Family Programs, where she served as the lead evaluator for a program increasing low-income parents’ financial literacy, advocacy, and leadership and worked with a wide range of stakeholders on a process evaluation of multi-agency collaborations aimed at improving services for kinship families and youth transitioning out of the foster care system. Jenn has a Bachelors degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh and a research scientist at the University of Washington, she honed her skills in the analysis of complex data sets and published widely on the influence of families, communities, and culture on youth development.

In her free time, Jenn is most likely to be found shuttling her boys around, running short distances, and enjoying the natural and epicurean bounty of the Pacific Northwest with friends and family.
