Mihwa Kim , Au.D.

Capacity and Project Supports Manager

Mihwa Kim delights in understanding the people and perspectives behind complex problems, using collaboration and consensus building to find a path forward. She understands that there are no true one-size-fits-all solutions and loves figuring out ways to meet people's needs, both as individuals and as people within systems.

Mihwa's background is in the allied health fields, where her mission was to provide empathetic, personalized care to individuals through an equity lens. She received her doctorate in clinical audiology from the University of Washington and finished her clinical training at University of San Francisco California (UCSF) Medical Center and Benioff Children's Hospital. She worked as a staff audiologist and clinic director at the Seattle-based Hearing, Speech, and Deaf Center (HSDC), where she had the joy of working with the Deaf community and supported a grant-funded program to improve access to low cost hearing assistive technology. She pivoted to healthcare administration as the director of clinical operations at University of Washington's School of Dentistry, where she oversaw the operations of the School’s central services and predoctoral Teaching Clinics, and helped programs navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mihwa joined ORS Impact in June 2021 to support impactful work in a diverse set of fields beyond healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys getting outside with her family, participating in her local bookstore's book clubs, and making her way through an ever-increasing backlog of crafty projects.
